Originally from Los Angeles, Becca began her career in radio in 1991, as the afternoon show producer at KIIS-FM in Los Angeles. In 1993 she helped launch the nationally syndicated country radio show, After MidNite, with Blair Garner, as the Executive Producer and co-host.
In 1997 Becca moved from L.A. to Nashville, where she has worked in the country music industry for the last 24 years as a freelance reporter, interviewing artists, and attending live concerts, awards shows and industry parties to bring all the latest news and information to country music fans across the country.
In addition to her work as a country music freelance reporter, Becca spent 16 years hosting middays on Nashville’s 103 WKDF-FM. In 2016 she left the radio station to join the Big Machine Label Group – home of Thomas Rhett, Florida Georgia Line, Tim MoGraw, Lady A, Brett Young and more – as the Manager of Big Machine Radio and Content Creator.
“Sweel Becca from the Country Mecca has been the Nashville Correspondent for Broadway and Friends for over a decade ago. Not only does she bring our listeners the latest news and information in country music every weekday, she also shares stories from her life in Nashville, which usually make for good fodder and funny conversation on the show
Outside of her passion for country music, Becca enjoys traveling in the U.S. and abroad, seeing live concerts from all genres of music, watching Broadway shows at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, eating out with good friends, keeping up with pop culture, shopping, shopping, shopping and walching Wheel of Fortune and random mindless reality TV shows, indluding The Bachelor, Below Deck, Big Brother and Hell’s Kitchen.
One day, she also hopes to become a better cook.
