WHO: The Lexington Singers, a 200-voice community choir, The Lexington Singers’ Advanced and Chamber choirs, and Mariachi Escudo from Bryan Station High School.
WHAT: The Lexington Singers are excited to present this year’s Pop’s Concert, Celebration! Songs of Unity and Community in honor of Lexington’s 250th Anniversary. The concert will take place at the Lexington Opera House as the Singers join to celebrate this milestone in our community’s history. Joining them will be the Lexington Singers Children’s Choirs, directed by Daniel Wesley and Taylor Strickland. Special guests for the occasion include Mariachi Escudo, directed by Genaro Rascón and Nathan Bailey, from Bryan Station High School – Kentucky’s only school-sponsored Mariachi band. Together, these talented performers will sing and play powerful, uplifting songs, raising a multitude of voices in celebration of the vibrant Lexington community.
